IHCUS Breed Health Survey
Won't you help?
The Ibizan Hound is regarded as a relatively rare breed with a small gene pool. Because of this, it is critical to the long-term future of the breed that current health problems are identified and documented.

About the Survey
The IHCUS Health and Research Committee is asking Ibizan Hound owners throughout the world to contribute health information on their dogs' through an anonymous survey.
The survey is being conducted to identify disease patterns and potential hereditary problems in our breed. It is the first step toward a logical, well-planned approach aimed at addressing health problems affecing the breed.
With such a survey, we hope to discover which diseases are most common, which are increasing and decin numbers of dogs affected, and which are decreasing. We may find that some health problems we believe are uncommon, are actually affecting more Ibizan Hounds than we think. This survey can effectively help us to prioritize which health issues to address first and will prove helpful to future researchers working on breed health.
We realize that it will take some time and effort on each owner's part. However, for the sake of the breed's health, is so very important that all Ibizan Hound owners complete this survey. The only way to conduct a thorough survey is with your participation. Please help.
No personal information about any owner will be asked for or gathered. We will not know your name, residence, email address, or names of your dogs. The survey is completely anonymous and is being conducted in a manner to encourage everyone to participate. We promise anonymity!
Once completed, the results of this survey will be made available on this website (complete with charts and details). To participate, please go to: http://www.dog-breeds.net/ibizanhoundhealthsurvey.htm
