A message from the IHCUS Rescue Chair

Dear Dog Lover,

Thank you for visiting our home on the web. I wanted to leave a personal note on here to say that our group is about more than accepting and re-homing unwanted dogs. We are here as a resource for shelters and rescue groups who are wondering if a dog they have in their care might be an Ibizan. We will take the dog into our own program or help you find a home for it if you wish to keep it in your rescue program.

More important, we’re here for those owners who might be at their wits end. Those of you who came to this page out of desperation and are thinking, “I love this dog but I just can’t do this anymore.” This breed isn’t always easy. Some puppies and dogs are more difficult than others. But with a little knowledge and training, your problem is probably fixable. Please contact me and I’ll do my best to use my experience with this breed and with raising and training dogs to help you work through your dog’s problem and help you find an expert in your area if that is what’s needed.

Thank you and please consider making a donation to our important cause so we can continue to help Ibizan Hounds in need.
